Our Vision

Our Mission

How We Live This Out

The Gordon E. Murphy Center for Change Studies sees people flourishing, confident that they are made in God's image, with a deeper sense of belonging, ready for meaningful and useful living.

The Gordon E. Murphy Center for Change Studies invites people into sacred spaces for the rest and study necessary to shape change that leads to healing and shalom.

We build intentional environments to offer people the opportunity to slow down, self-reflect, and reconnect—with themselves, with others, and with God. Through strength-based practices, we help people get unstuck, and discover renewed agency. Our work centers belonging, honors dignity, and supports individuals as they move from exhausted loneliness toward thriving community.

Building spiritual retreat centers with the values of self-reflection, faith, and spiritual hospitality. In honor of Gordon E. Murphy, who embodied these values, as he loved his neighbors - not perfectly, but increasingly.

Our Core Values

4

All people are made in God's image and inherently worthy of love and agency.

1

Kindness eases change. Spiritual hospitality offers rest and safety.

2

In partnership we can thrive, grow, and change. We challenge and play with each other not to win and lose but for the satisfaction of a life well-lived.

3

Shalom can be shaped by combining the information, experience, and creativity of the many to achieve group adaptability to make space for the thriving of all.
