Presidential Ponderings: 8-20

Some of you are on this list because I pulled your email off my dad’s old contact list. He passed away in 2022, so please forward this email for folks who loved him but have changed over to new emails.

Also, please feel free to unsubscribe if you do not want to learn more about what we’re doing to honor El Gordo’s memory. No hard feelings.

What should a daughter/apprentice do after the world loses such a unique and special force for love and justice? I have spent the last 4 years drafting a vision for an organization that will generate more of what El Gordo offered: hospitality, study & self-reflection, camaraderie, and a deep faith that God loves each of us, no matter how much we screw things up.

It’s my goal to write interesting things about my dad and about what we’re doing in his memory every week. I hope you’ll join the team by opening the email as often as you can to get a sense of hope for the world and probably a story in which El Gordo in portrayed as somewhat ridiculous and holy.
